PBS Kids Has Always Been #1 in My Book!

Check out PBSkids.org today!

This is excellent news for PBS Kids, a site that we frequently use for on the fly entertainment, and as an educational resource.

PBSkids has announced that, for the first time, PBS Kids has topped the list of kids' websites streaming free videos to their audience.  According to comScore Video Metrix, kids spent an average of 47 minutes mousing around and watching free educational videos on PBSkids.org in September 2010.  With nearly 88 million free video streams for that month, PBS Kids has almost doubled the monthly average of competing kids sites.

"PBS has always been a pioneer in providing age-appropriate, educational content to engage kids and to encourage their innate curiosity, helping them prepare for success in school and in life," said Lesli Rotenberg, senior vice president, Children's Media, PBS. "We continue to break new ground by making our content accessible to all kids, in new ways, on all platforms."

Check out PBS Kids today and you'll find free streaming video, games and more relating to all the great programming you see on TV (and some that you don't) in shows like:

PBS is a non-profit organization and all this production, streaming and downloading can really add in terms of cost.  If you watch these programs or become a regular user at PBS Kids, please consider making a donation directly to your local PBS station (Boston Area: WGBH, NHPTV) or show your support some other way.
