Visit Boston's newest attraction, the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, this April School Vacation Week. Beginning on Saturday, April 16, visitors are encouraged to create paper flowers and write on the leaves how they want to “make a difference” in the world. The flowers are to be planted in Rose’s Garden, in the EMK Institute lobby. Supplies will be provided throughout the week.
Visitors are encouraged to experience Great Senate Debates program and to Become a Senator for a day. Visit our full-scale representation of the United States Senate Chamber, where you can vote on a current piece of legislation and listen to live debates on historical issues. The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate offers a dynamic, interactive experience in democracy.
See a replica of Senator Kennedy’s Washington office and get a glimpse into his career and personality. Use digital tablets to engage with our unique exhibits for a high-tech, high-touch learning experience.
Admission is always FREE to all Massachusetts children under the age of 17.
The Institute is located on Columbia Point in Dorchester, next to the JFK Presidential Library and Museum.
