The Purple Heart Trail 10K and Fun Run will be held the weekend after Veterans Day on Sunday, November 14, 2021. In honor of all our military past and present the 10K route is from the Patton Homestead to Patton Park (and back). The midway point loops around the Sherman tank in Patton Park.
This is the same route as in 2019 - along Asbury Street in Hamilton, Mass., which is designated as a national Purple Heart Trail.
According to The Military Order of the Purple Heart, “The purpose of the Purple Heart Trail is to create a symbolic and honorary system of roads, highways, bridges, and other monuments that give tribute to the men and women who have been awarded the Purple Heart medal.”
Check out this year’s technical T-shirt to the first 100 registrants! For those wishing to walk or run a shorter distance can participate in the Fun Run, a 1K loop following the wood road along the perimeter of the beautiful Patton Homestead property.
This is our 3rd annual 10K race to support the Friends of the Patton Homestead.
10K Start Time: 9:00 AM from the Patton Homestead’s Great Lawn
