Middleton's Memorial Day Parade begins at Memorial Hall and marches to Middleton Flint Library and Veterans’ Monuments for a brief prayer, laying of wreaths, a salute and “Taps.” The parade resumes down Maple Street to the Oakdale Cemetery for a ceremony at the Veterans’ Monument with active participation by local students including music by the Howe-Manning band. Howe Manning students will also read General Logan's Orders and recite the poem 'Decoration Day', with music by the elementary school band. American Legion Post 227 will perform honors and “Taps".
The parade will head back to Memorial Hall and ice cream will be available to marchers. A collation will be held at American Legion Post 227. All veterans are invited to attend.
IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER (HEAVY RAIN) THE PARADE WILL BE CANCELLED AND THE MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY WILL BE HELD AT THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 227 AT 69 RIVER STREET AT 10:00 AM IN THE FUNCTION HALL.
