Breastfeeding Classes are taught by Anna Jaques Hospital Lactation Consultants for mothers and their support person(s) to gain the knowledge and tools to help you successfully breast your baby.
Topics covered include:
- Benefits to mother and baby
- Basic anatomy and physiology
- Myths vs. facts
- Positioning and latching-on
- Common concerns
- Pumping and storing breast milk
- Community resources and supports available once home with baby

Plan to attend when you are 7-8 months pregnant, but register early!

Women’s Health Care, the Birth Center and Neonatal Care Center at Anna Jaques Hospital are committed to providing the highest level of care during pregnancy, while acting as a resource for parents and families.
