Sawyer Free Library invites kids to kick of the Summer reading season with a live music concert and dance party in Gloucester Massachusetts! "Read Beyond the Beaten Path!"  Let's kick off Summer Reading with some outdoor musical fun! Join us for a morning of family fun in our outside amphitheater with Elijah T. Grasshopper & Friends as they bring their joy-filled interactive concert and musical storytelling!

Daisy Nell and Captain Stan visit the library to introduce Daisy’s new book [amazon 978-0615455075 inline] and lead a sing-along. Daisy Nell, native of Essex, MA, brings alive New England’s maritime history through traditional songs of the sea. A familiar voice on the North Shore music scene, she is known for her broad repertoire of traditional folk, chanteys, and contemporary songs. Her husband, Capt. Stan, adds his guitar and dobro to Daisy's banjo and guitar.

Grisha Goryachev is renowned for his extraordinary musical sensitivity and technical virtuosity.

Rodrigo’s immediately recognizable and popular Concierto de Aranjuez put Rodrigo on the map as one of the world’s great 20th Century composers. It also helped make the classical guitar the respectable solo instrument it has become.

Koto’s Stormy and Calm Seas a new piece commissioned by the Cape Ann Symphony is a musical depiction of the ocean during a storm and the calm that comes afterwards.
