Take a full tour of beautiful Green Meadows Farm with an overview of our certified organic vegetable farming and sustainable animal program. Green Meadows Farm operates a CSA and runs a farm stand open to the public. In the Farmstand, you'll find our own seasonal vegetables plus a variety of natural and organic dry goods, local cheeses, milk, meat and fun gift items for children and adults.

Come to Toad Hall Bookstore to learn all about the habitat and lives of snakes from New England and around the world from Rick Roth, Executive Director of the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team. Live local and exotic animals will be presented, and attendees will have the opportunity to see or handle these reptiles!  

Come to Sawyer Free Library for a a special program "Big Snakes" on hosted by Rick Roth and the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team.  This program is for children of all ages and their families.  Live snake will be on hand and attendees will get up close and personal with some BIG snakes! All are welcome!!!

The return of summer means warmth, sun, and the return of jewel-like damselflies and dragonflies. Can you tell the difference between the two? These insects have an amazing life history and eat our least favorite flying insects, mosquitoes! We will spend the afternoon in the sanctuary's fields and wetlands catching dragonflies and observing them in their aquatic naiad stage. And by the end of the afternoon, you will know the difference between a dragon and a damsel and may even have the opportunity to hold one in your hand!
