Jessica Kagle, founder of Kestrel Educational Adventures, has entered the Green Awards contest on behalf of Rockport Elementary School for an award of $25,000 that will put them on the road to designing and building a nature center in the school's new science room. You can vote once every day, and every vote increases the odds that this money will be awarded for this purpose.

Learning geography is sometimes difficult, but doing so sets a solid foundation on which to build an education rich with history, international relations, religious understanding, cultural empathy and philosophy. This seems to be National Geographic's motivation in their effort rebuilding National Geographic Education to create a wonderful resource for not only teachers and educators, but for students and parents as well. The site is still a beta version, but it's definitely worth a peak.

Yesterday, Joey Ciaramitaro from Good Morning Gloucester called to discuss things to do during February Vacation with kids. He wanted to do an impromptu 15 minute interview, but it turned into a 40 minute interview that covered a broad range of subjects from places to go hiking around or near Cape Ann, our upcoming Summer Camp Guide, to the Google Science Fair.
