Mini Movers is an engaging dance and movement class for young children at the North Shore Children's Museum. Led by experienced instructors, the program introduces young children to the world of dance in a safe and nurturing environment.
Through age-appropriate exercises and playful routines, children develop fundamental physical skills and coordination while having fun. The class takes place in the inspiring setting of the museum, fostering creativity and exploration.
Run 5K and Half Marathon - or both races Back-to-Back! Come enjoy beautiful ocean views as you run along the scenic coastline of Great Neck! On the course you'll race past some of the oldest and most historical homes (pre-revolution) in the entire country. You'll also enjoy some breathtaking ocean views in this charming coastal community!
Come enjoy beautiful ocean views as you run along the scenic coastline on Cape Ann and race towards our huge finish line arch! The Twin Lights Half Marathon offers a spectacular course with the seashore visible for much of the race's 13.1-mile route. Runners will also enjoy an up-close look at many of the sights that have deep roots in the nation's maritime history.
Named for the host community of Manchester-by-the-Sea, the race provides scenic views. Race through the historic and charming downtown and past the pristine fresh water lakes in nearby Hamilton, MA.
The Yukan Run Triple Threat Race Series is a half marathon, 5K and 1 mile race. There's something for everyone in the race series - serious runners, kids, enthusiasts and even walkers are invited to race! Proceeds from the races go to local charities like The Open Door. Sign up for one or all three races, it will be a great morning filled with healthy fun!
The Amesbury Public Library invites kids to come read to a dog at the Library! Gus, a mixed lab and certified reading partner dog, would love to hear you read aloud! This is a great way to practice some early reading skills or give some confidence to reluctant readers. If you have a child who is reading themselves or working on their reading skills, sign up for a 15 minute slot! Gus will be back in the Library every two weeks so you can register for more than one session if you'd like or just for one!
Grab a board and your candy markers and get ready to BINGO! If you've never played BINGO, now is the time to learn, with treats and prizes in the mix. The winner each session will have their name entered into a very stylish hat. Once we have hit the end of our program time, Teen Librarian Katy will draw three names from the hat and all three will be prize winners! This event is free and for Teens only (incoming 6th-12th grade).
