What could be better than a free movie viewed outside at Waterfront Park on a warm summer night? In the great nation of Emperor Penguins, deep in Antarctica, you're nobody unless you can sing - which is unfortunate for Mumble (voiced by Elijah Wood), who is the worst singer in the world. He is born dancing to his own tune...tap dancing.
What's better than watching an outdoor movie in Waterfront Park on a warm, summer night? Grab a blanket, family, friends, and join us! Juice and Popcorn will be served. This program is a drop in and no sign up is required!

Morning is a busy time for the birds so bring a beverage or breakfast snack, your binoculars and sit at a picnic table to watch their morning activity in the field. The park interpreter will explain birding behavior and other basics, then take you on a short walk to see them nesting.
Enjoy the view from Moon Hill as you learn about the moon cycle and its importance to people over the centuries. The easy walk will be enjoyed by beginners and experienced hikers alike. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Wear sturdy closed toe shoes and insect repellent. Bring water, flashlights and if you have them, binoculars. Inclement weather cancels the program. Appropriate for ages 5 and up. Meet at the Parking Lot Bulletin Board, 40 Asbury Street.
Parking available both at the library and in the City Hall parking lot. Come enjoy a spectacular summer evening of music and fun!
Join birding expert and former Crane Beach Ranger, Dave Williams, on a walk through the woodlands and fields of the Crane Estate to talk about birds. If you have never been birding before, Dave will teach you how to use binoculars to watch birds and pick out characteristics that will help you identify what species you see. If you’re a seasoned pro, bring your bird list and keep an eye out for spring migrants! If you’re not into birds (yet), come for a pleasant morning stroll. There’s something for everyone on this walk!
Join us for the official kickoff of the Theater in the Open 40th Anniversary Season! Edward Speck and Joshua Shack know that we need a spring panto to celebrate the change in seasons at Maudslay State Park. This year, they’ll collaborate to create another completely original panto based on a beloved story, Peter Pan. Pirates, fairies and Lost Boys will abound in this whimsically goofy take on the J. M. Barrie classic.
