Adventures in Animal Tracking at Ravenswood Park--just like our Hermit did, over 100 years ago!  From 1884 to 1917, Mason Walton lived as a "hermit" in Ravenswood.  He closely observed, wrote, and drew about wildlife and animal behaviors.  He published a book in 1903.  We will walk the hermit's footsteps, share tales from his book, and along the way we will closely observe wildlife signs and determine animal behavior. The Trustees of Reservations's invites families to learn about vernal pools in Manchester! Vernal pools are crucial to the survival of fairy shrimp, salamanders, and wood frogs. Join the The Trustees of Reservations on an exploration of the pools at Agassiz Rock reservation, and learn how you can certify and protect vernal pools. When vernal pools become certified, we can prevent development on and around them. This program is instructive to the participants, so you, too, can take home the techniques, forms, and methods to certify pools. It is targeted at families, so exploration is an important (and fun!) element in the program.

Get ready to geek out at the Children's Museum of New Hampshire! For the second year, the museum is hosting a meet-up and exhibition of robots from around the Seacoast. Robotics programs and teams from all over the Seacoast will converge on the Children's Museum of New Hampshire for an afternoon of fun with robots.

Preschoolers will Imagine, Sing the Learn about animal groups in this session! This parent/child program is designed for the creative, curious, and active preschooler. Each 90-minute session offers a structured series of activities including original songs, movement, dramatic play, hands-on science, and a thematic snack. You'll receive coloring pages, song lyrics, vocabulary, a fun fact sheet, and a suggested reading list in an electronic goody bag!

The Manchester Public Library invites kids to to a live performance about one of history's greatest heroes - Hercules! The Hampstead Players hosted by the Manchester Public Library, will perform “Hercules and The Heroes,” a play for all fans of Greek Mythology. These exciting myths are best for grades K-8th and fits core curriculum standards for Greek mythology. The event will be at the Manchester Community Center to accommodate the set and seating but you do need to register so we can prepared the space accurately. This wonderful experience of live theater is sponsored by the Hooper Fund to Youth Services of the Manchester Public Library.
