Venus Transit Viewing at Bradley Palmer
Join the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club for a unique opportunity to witness a rare natural phenomena. On Tuesday, the 2012 Venus Transit will take place starting at 6:03PM and be visible until sunset. The North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club will be setting up equipment for viewing this event safely using professional equipment! The public are invited to come by for just a look, or stick around to get the most out of the experience! Check their website for the latest weather updates!
WARNING: NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN THROUGH A TELESCOPE OR BINOCULARS WITHOUT A SPECIAL SOLAR FILTER!
Note: Bradley Palmer State Park has multiple entrances, for this event you must enter from the Highland Street entrance just opposite the Pingree School in Hamilton, MA. Turn right by the wading pools and go past them, down a road to your left which will lead to a parking area. We’ll be set up near that parking area. Map & directions: http://goo.gl/maps/GViW
