Vacation Week Flyby: Eagles, Owls, and Hawks, Oh My!

Come explore the world of predatory raptors and birds on the North Shore!

Our school vacation programs offer a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities while we keep minds active and hands busy during break! This Vacation Week Flyby will focus on eagles, owls, hawks and other birds of prey that live in and migrate through the North Shore.

Each session offers a different theme, with art activities, experiments, group games, and more. It's free-flow learning for the whole family. Come once or make it a multi-day experience! Fly by for an hour or stay all day for a vacation activity that suits your family schedule.

This session's raptor focused activities will include:

  • Use a telescope and binoculars to spot bald eagles
  • Bald eagle and owl videos
  • Raptors computer quiz
  • Raptor coloring pages, books, stuffed animals
  • Take the Raptor ID challenge
  • Raptor origami
  • Raptor collages
  • Experiments - owl vision, hearing & feeding
  • Examine an owl pellet
  • Learn about the  Snowy Owl catch and release project with Mass Audubon
  • Feed like a bald eagle
  • Crafts for ages 2-6

Specifics

  • Registration not required.
  • Suitable for children ages 2 - 12 yrs
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Themes are subject to change.
  • Please dress for the weather since some activities may take place outdoors.
