Nature Tales: Ponding

Kids are invited to come Explore the Ponds of Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary!

Join us as we share a children's nature story before we explore the woods, fields, and wetlands of the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary.  This month we'll focus on the birds of Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary.

Today: We'll read Around the Pond: Who's Been Here? by Lindsey Barrett George. Using buckets and strainers, we'll explore a pond and search for critters that swim, soar, and crawl, from hopping frogs to zipping water striders.

  • Suitable for children ages 3-6
  • Meets in the Nature Center. Please dress for an outdoor exploration.
