PuppetPalooza Exhibit at Wenham Museum PuppetPalloza 2011 for Families

Discover the amazing world of puppets with a visit to the PuppetPalooza Exhibit then go behind the scenes with visiting puppeteers from Puppet Showplace Theatre of Brookline. Discover the magic of this traditional art form as the artists bring a variety of puppets to life, including one created by you!

Dr. Doohickey's Monster Machine

Puppeteer Brad Shur joins Dr. Doohickey for a live performance at Wenham Museum

Dr. Doohickey always thought that monsters were more interesting than people. Why have two arms when you could have seven? Join the good doctor and his rabbit assistant, Reginald, as they fire up the Monster Machine and make the world a more interesting place in this fun and highly interactive show performed by special guest puppeteer, Brad Shur, of Puppet Showplace Theatre.

La Vida Rock Wall Open Gym

Open Gym at Lavida Rock Gym is open to the public 4 nights a week!

Open Gym at La Vida Rock Gym is open to the public and is a great place to get instruction or just practice to perfect climbing techniques. We welcome new and experienced climbers of all ages. We provide complementary belayers, harnesses, and basic instruction.

Celebrate this Season's Harvest in the Village Marketplace, Hamilton & Wenham

Celebrate the Harvest Season with a traditional open air market day! Local farmers, craft vendors, entertainment and food choices are all available to enjoy the change of the seasons and the bountiful harvest that we are blessed with this year. The Village Marketplace will be decorated for the crisp season with flowers, pumpkins and cornstalks. This autumnal street fair will be at 300 Main St. Wenham and adjacent Railroad Avenue in Hamilton.

Model Yachting on Pleasant Pond

The Marblehead model Yacht Club will demonstrate Model yachting on Pleasant Pond

Join members of theWenham Museum education staff and the Marblehead Model Yacht Club in learning how to sail model ships on Pleasant Pond in Wenham. Try your hand at this 100 year old summer past time. If you enjoy these models, visit the museum’s miniature world of trains and dollhouses with special museum admission pricing for Trails and Sails participants.

Meet 'Faces of the Moon' illustrator Leslie Evans at the Wenham Museum

Children will discover the names and shapes of the lunar phases in Leslie Evan's book, Faces of the Moon as the illustrator shares an art project and signs copies of her book while children wait for a turn in the Mainley Stars Planetarium as part of Starry, Starry, Night: Planetarium and Telescopes.

Join the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club in a Star party at Castle Hill

Join the Mainely Stars Planetarium and the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club for an evening of stargazing at Wenham Museum. Enjoy familiarizing yourself with the night sky in the Mainely Stars Planetarium, then view the actual night's sky with telescopes provided by members of the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club. While you're there, tour the Museum galleries featuring Blast Off! Sky-High and Sci-Fi Space Toys summer exhibition.
