Kids and families will learn about the marsh habitat with ECGA and North Shore Nature Programs in this this fun, easy tromp across the marsh

Greenbelt and North Shore Nature Programs present Exploring the Salt Marsh! On this fun, easy tromp across the marsh, we'll look at the different plants, invertebrates, and birds that live there! This event is for families--children and adults of all ages welcome. Wear muck boots or shoes that can get wet and muddy and bring some water to drink. We recommend long pants, tucked into your socks or boots to keep ticks and other bugs from biting. Bathrooms are available on site (provided the CDC, state, and town regulations allow for public visitation at this date). FREE!

You’ll feel better about that Thanksgiving indulgence if you come join us for a hike through the beautiful Harold Parker State Forest! We will be hiking about 2 miles on moderate trails. Wear clothing for hiking; bring rain gear as appropriate. ouring rain, snow, or ice cancels.  Best for children ages 8 and up. Meet at 305 Middleton Road, North Andover, MA

A Pond a Week at Harold Parker

Harold Parker state Forest has 11 ponds, 9 of which were created by the CCC. During the month, visit 4 of these ponds. Learn their function and importance. Meet at the Nature Center inside the campground. Wear appropriate hiking shoes. It is recommended that you bring water, insect repellent and sun screen. Appropriate for all ages, must be able to walk several miles.

Summer Concert Series at The Stevens-Coolidge Place

Stevens-Coolidge Estate hosts the Notch Travelling Bier Garden weekly on Fridays for their Summer Concert Series in North Andover Massachusetts

Join us for our summer concerts in the gardens. We’ll have Notch Brewing biergarten and a local food truck for you to enjoy while soaking in the act of the evening. This is a BYO chair event, we also recommend bug spray.

This free mid-day event is the perfect low-key introduction to the Stevens-Coolidge gardens, including assorted lawn games, a variety of paths through the gardens to see what spring has sprung, and several tables set up for communal picnicking.

This hands-on family friendly tour will bring the past to life for you and your child. Stories, photos, and objects allow kids to consider differences and similarities between the past and today. Join the Trustees for full house tours being offered every half hour from 10am to 2pm on a first come, first serve basis.  The last house tour will begin around 1:30. The tours will bring you through the whole house and will lead you in the story of Helen and John Coolidge.
