The Trustees of Reservations invites you to bring the family for a celebration of spring’s arrival at Long Hill and Sedgwick Gardens. With carpets of bulbs in bloom, a daffodil walk, a visit to the Children’s Garden, and for the second year, people can Pick-Their-Own daffodil bouquet at the PYO Flower Fields.  This event is FREE but a $5 donation is suggested.  This day is sure to brighten everyone’s spring! Self-guided tours and refreshments.

John Badalament, author of the acclaimed The Modern Dad's Dilemma: How to Stay Connected with Your Kids in a Rapidly Changing World , will speak at Glen Urquhart School on Thursday, April 25. Badalament is a Harvard-trained educator with 20 years of experience as a teacher, dean of students, and counselor in school and clinical settings for children, teens, and adults. His work has been featured on ABC News, NPR, in Men's Health, Mom Magazine, L.A. Times, and the Boston Globe.

The Trustees of Reservations need your help to prepare and plant Long Hill and Sedgwick Gardens's Pick-Your-Own Flower Fields. We've extended our garden to bring even MORE fresh flowers to the community this year! We have a range of projects available for all abilities, from planting, weeding, and staking, to deadheading, seeding, labeling, and much more. Dig in and have fun with a great group of fellow volunteers!

At Shore, we know that students are at their academic best when they have a balanced schedule that includes plenty of time outdoors.  Our new playground (opening September 2013) will incorporate both natural and structured spaces to engage children’s physical and creative natures with activities like digging, climbing, and imaginative play.  After recess, students will be refreshed and prepared to think and learn across the challenges of the Shore curriculum.

Beverly Public Library invites teens to a enjoy a pizza and a movie with their friends! Come for free pizza and a movie based on a great YA book. This is a story of a boy from a small Southern town who meets a mysterious new girl, Lena. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town. At Shore Country Day School, young students are taught from an early age to embrace the joy in learning while challenged to reach even higher goals both academically and personally.

Explore the dynamic and exciting environment in which Shore students progressively develop critical thinking skills, become confident and joyful learners, and move forward into higher education and life as caring citizens.

It's fun in Beverly at the annual touch a truck event held during Public Works Week.  There will be equipment for display, pictures and hands on for children such as backhoes, loaders, dump trucks and mowers.  It is a citywide event for people of all ages. The local Police, Fire and Emergency Response at the Hospital attend the event. There will be tables at the event for water conservation, recycling, waste oil collection notices and any other services that the City offers for the residents of Beverly. Individual contractors are welcome to participate in the year’s event.

The North Shore Community Development Coalition invites families, runners and walkers to celebrate Earth Day at Lynch Park. Run or walk in their 5k race and stay for an Earth Day festival will involving over a dozen vendors encouraging a more proactive, healthy lifesytle, community and planet. The entire event is promoting "GREEN LIVING" with a focus on celebrating Earth Day!

North Shore Nursery School has enlisted a panel of experts - kindergarten teachers from local public and independent schools - to answer questions about preparing for kindergarten and to broaden your understanding of the kindergarten experience.
