Plant a Growums garden at Amesbury Public Library to take home with you!

Join Amesbury Public Library to plant your own garden to take home! The Topsfield Fair has donated Growums garden kits to us! Choose from one of 4 garden types and use magically expanding soil to plant for different herbs or vegetables. Keep track on your garden online and learn more about planting, plant growth and gardens. Registration is not required and all ages are welcome!

Egg Drop-Palooza

Helicopters and Easter Egg Hunts collide at Egg Drop-Palooza in Amesbury!

Amesbury Sports Park will be hosting the 1st annual Helicopter Egg Drop-Palooza fundraising event for Lucy's Love Bus!  30,000 eggs full of treats and prizes, helicopter rides, pony rides, Bunny Hop Dance-Off, face painting, egg dyeing and a performance by AHMIR will all be part of the celebration! There's a limit of 5,000 tickets for this family-friendly event, so get your tickets today!

The Amesbury Public Library invites kids to the LEGO club! Register today!

APL invites kids to come and create with LEGOs! Each month is a different theme, but always the same fun. LEGOs provided. Ages 6-10 only. Space is limited and registration required for each month.

Amesbury Sports Park is offering free snow tubing admission for active military personnel & employees of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Pease Air Force Base as well as $5 off each of their guests’ admissions from February 25th through March 1st, 2013.

Anderson's fascinating tale The Serpent Came to Gloucester , based on the true story of a sea serpent's arrival in Gloucester Harbor during the early 19th Century. Kids will then use their imagination to create their own sea monster sand painting.

The story concerns madcap antics aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London. Billy Crocker is a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and Public Enemy #13 Moonface Martin aid Billy in his quest to win Hope. The cast of the Sparhawk Spotlights includes stowaways, gangsters, nuns and mols make this transatlantic crossing a hilarious romp from sin to redemption. Be sure to come aboard before this musical production of Anything Goes says Bon Voyage!

Sparhawk School will host an OPEN HOUSE for prospective students and their families on Wednesday, March 14th 2012, at both Amesbury campuses.

• 9-11am at the Upper Campus (High School): 196 Main  Street, Amesbury,  MA
• 4-6pm at the Lower Campus (PreK-8):  259 Elm St., Amesbury, MA

This event will be the final open house for the 2012 enrollment season.
