Fundraiser

Generous Gardeners has a great fundraising idea for gardeners this Spring that helps the gardener, the garden, the environment and the Gloucester Education Foundation! If you're an avid gardener like we are, you know that the time to split your perrenials is now, and you'll also be in the process of raising seedlings for planting after the last frost. So split your perennials and plant some extra seedlings, because now there's a place to send them! Donate your split perennials with Generous Gardeners, and they'll end up in a garden sale on May 18 at Stage Fort Park that will raise funds for the Gloucester Education Foundation.

The Manchester Mothers Club has a great fundraiser going on all month long in the towns of Manchester, Beverly, Gloucester and Essex! For just $20 ($25 to remain anonymous) they will send a flock of pink flamingos to decorate the location of your choice for a day. This is a lot of fun and people (especially kids) really get a laugh over being flocked! Flock your friends, relatives, coworkers or anybody that you think needs a little silly fun in their day!

Fluff is a special treat in our house that we usually reserve for that wonderful combination of bread, peanut butter and fluff - aka the fluffernutter! What we never knew was that fluff is a product native to the North Shore and has been made in Lynn at the same factory since 1929.  Today, fluff is sold throughout the United States and the world and has a dedicated following.

Smolak Farms has teamed up with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network this season. For a donation of $2 you will receive a bright and crisp Macintosh Apple straight from our Orchard with the symbolic purple ribbon.  100% of the proceeds will go to the Pancreatic Research Foundation.  Stop in to our Farm Stand to make your donation anytime between now and November 2011!
