This year, Trails & Sails 2010: Two Weekends of Walks & Water north of Boston, will occur September 18-19 and 24-26. Essex Heritage is partnering with over 100 sites across the region to promote unique heritage resources and to encourage residents and visitors to explore the special treasures here on the North Shore.
The large, sandy oceanfront beaches here on the North Shore are ideal for long days at the beach. The surf has been typically warm and calm lately, which makes it perfect for swimming.
