The Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) celebrates the closing week of Shapeshifting: Transformations in Native American Art with extended evening hours on Thursday, April 26, and Friday April 27. Join us from 5 to 9 pm for your last chance to experience the exhibition that critics are calling “one of the most thrilling shows you are likely to see this year.” Shapeshifting closes to the public on Sunday, April 29, after an exceptional run.

Transformation lies at the root of the shapeshifting concept, and Peabody Essex Museum invites you to explore transformation through Native American paintings, ceramics, textiles, photographs, videos and monumental installations drawn from collections in the United States, Canada and Europe!

Join the Newfoundland Club of New England to continue the Holiday tradition of the Christmas Tree Pull at Smolak Farms. The tradition continues this year at Smolak Farms. Each year, families go out into the fields to choose and cut their Christmas tree! The varieties of trees at the Farm include Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir and Concolor Fir.

Join the Abbot Public Library in appreciating traditional Chinese culture through an illustrated talk by members of Shen Yun, the world-renowned Chinese performing arts group. Shen Yun will be coming to Boston, to perform at the Boston Opera House on the weekend of January 20, 21 and 22.  This event is suitable for children aged 10 and older.
