The Ipswich Fire Department, Police Department, and Action Ambulance will be hosting a carseat checkpoint at fire headquarters. Come on in and get your car seat checked to see if it's properly installed and if you need a new one we have those as well thanks to a Grant provided to us From Institution For Savings. We will also have emergency vehicles here for the kids to be able to walk around and look at.
The Hamilton Department of Public Safety will provide tours of the public safety buildings along with displays of all police, fire and ambulance vehicles. There will be live demonstrations and attractions for all ages, including the Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit and a vehicle extrication demonstration by the Hamilton Fire Department. Food and drinks will be provided by Beauport Ambulance, and ice cream will be provided by Cherry Farms Creamery of Danvers.
Manchester Public Library welcomes families to come to the parking lot behind Town Hall to touch, climb inside, and even honk the horns of the real vehicles our Fire Department, Department of Public Works, and Police Departments use in Manchester-by-the-Sea! Plus there will be wheels and fuel (cookies and drinks). Kids of all ages are welcome! No need to register.
Is your toddler a Tonka fan? Your fourth grader fond of fire trucks? Bring them to Gloucester’s Touch a Truck event to benefit the Fishtown Horribles Parade and watch their faces light up as they clamber into their toys come to life! New in 2014, the Touch a Truck event will also play host to a chowderfest! Come samplke some local interpretations of this New England classic and vote to see who has the best chowder around! All proceeds will go to fund the Fishtown Horribles Parade in July!
Come celebrate the City of Peabody’s first annual downtown bazaar! Sponsored by the Peabody Institute Library and the new Peabody Downtown Association, this bazarr will celebrate communtiy and the new improvements in the downtown on Main Stree and Peabody Square.
The Manchester Touch a Truck is going strong after more than a decade! The trucks are fabulous, the crew and officers even more so as they chat with children, allow the children to get on an din the vehicles, see different emergency vehicles in a safe and calm setting (not how most children experience them) and provide a wonderful photo opportunity for parents and grandparents as well as a great community spirit!
It's fun in Beverly at the annual touch a truck event held during Public Works Week. There will be equipment for display, pictures and hands on for children such as backhoes, loaders, dump trucks and mowers. It is a citywide event for people of all ages. The local Police, Fire and Emergency Response at the Hospital attend the event so kids can explore their vehicles and get a first hand look at the equipment inside and the meet the people who use it.
Newburyport Youth Services will host a 'Touch-a-Truck' Event at Cashman Park in Newburyport! Come down and enjoy this fun event alongside the Merrimac River, in beautiful Newburyport, MA. We have over a dozen vehicles from fire engines, to military, school bus to tow truck! And all are open for you to explore!
