Maudslay State Park has a strong connection to the arts, and one of the highlights of the year is Sculpture at Maudslay! The annual show will be themed 'CONNECT'. This unique exhibition brings together artists from many walks of life to create site-specific sculptures in the park.

Learn calligraphy basics with specialist Albina Papows. Inspired by the special exhibition Unfolding Histories: Cape Ann before 1900. Write your name, use calligraphy tools and leave with a sampler to take home. This family workshop is recommended for children 7 and up with an adult. Registration required.

During this special Valentine’s Day session, we’ll explore The Folly Cove Designers exhibit, touch printmaking tools, learn a song with hand motions and print our own Valentine’s Day cards. Local artist, storyteller and teacher Ann McCrea will help kids use modeling clay to sculpt a rabbit or coyote! CLAY♦WORKS combines the magic of storytelling with clay sculpting. The 70-minute CLAY•WORKS program teaches kids from 1st-6th grade [ages 5-11]. Sitting in a circle on the floor, Ann tells a story which evokes their interest and creativity.
Join Essex County Greenbelt Association for a Trails & Sails 2018 experience at the Cox Reservation in Essex, Massachusetts. Join award-winning sculptor Dale Rogers on an exploration of FLIGHT, a large-scale sculpture exhibited on the breath-taking grounds that overlook the beautiful marshes of Essex! Enjoy the presentation, then stroll the grounds or pack a picnic and stay to enjoy the scenery!
Take a Trails & Sails 2018 tour of copper sculpture by the sea and meet the artist! Bart Stuyf is a sculptor whose studio is located in Gloucester overlooking the outer harbor and the Eastern Point Lighthouse. His studio will be open to visitors on the Trails & Sails weekends. As a former dancer and choreographer, Bart's whimsical creations reflect his eye for form and movement. His copper sculptures are placed around the property and there is a studio and showroom.
