Gabe’s Run 2012: The Fifth Annual Reunion Run to benefit the Gabriel Pacione Memorial Scholarships.

Events feature competitive 5K Cross-Country Trail Races, a 1 Mile Fun Run as well as the Team XC Challenge and the Community Cup, a friendly competition among runners from all communities represented. The race is the day after Thanksgiving, Friday November 23, 2012

Run for the Pies in Ipswich

Burn some calories before the Thanksgiving Feast at Ipswich's Run for the Pies!

Start your turkey day by burning off some calories with a run or walk along the Ipswich River and you'll have a chance to win a pie! Racers, runners, walkers or stroller pushers are incited to the Ipswich Town Hall bright and early on Thanksgiving Day for a 2.8 mile riverside race along Turkey Shore Drive and Labor in Vain Road.  The 1.2 mile kids run starts at 8am.

Run the trails of Ravenswood Park during the height of foliage season this year at the Ravenswood Trails Race! This 4.1-mile trail race provides a beautiful overview of Ravenswood Park at the height of fall color, from rugged trails and boardwalks to carriage roads and stunning vistas.

Fish Box Derby

The Gloucester Fish Box Derby encourages teamwork and friendly competition!

The Fish Box Derby Race is a family event that focuses on teamwork and fun! Contestants race their own cars, built on their design and with the assistance of their parent, grandparent, or other adult influence in their lives. Boys and Girls from ages eight to fourteen are eligible to enter (there are no fees to enter). The cars reflect each individual style and mechanical abilities.

Coastal 5k Run for the Beach and Kids Run

Runners, walkers and kids are invited to particitpate in the Coastal 5k

Calling all runners and walkers--and their children--who love our North Shore beaches. Sign up for the 3rd Annual Coastal 5K Run for the Beach! This year a new event has been added. After the conclusion of the 5K run, there will be a special race for kids--the Kids ½ mi Coastal Hill Challenge.

3rd Annual – Run the Heater 5K

Kids will race at Singing Beach in Manchester for the 'Run the Heater' Race!

The 3rd Annual – Run the Heater 5K starts and ends at Signing Beach in Manchester, MA.  The Heater is the traditional route that early citizens of Manchester used to warm up their horses. This 3.1 mile route celebrates this Manchester tradition, and brings you through and around the heart of Downtown Manchester.  Kids will run a separate race on the beach with medal to be given every particitipant.  Other fun activities will include facepainting, live music and a fun family atmosphere.

36th Magnolia Road Race

The 36th Annual Magnolia Road Race benefits the Magnolia Library!

Magnolia’s 36th Annual Road Race will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 6:30pm. This 5K Race will be held rain or shine along a beautiful, scenic route in Magnolia. A 1k Walk/Fun Run will appeal to kids and those not capable of completing the 5k.  All proceeds from the races, ice cream, and shirts go to the Magnolia Library.

Yankee Homecoming Roadrace

50 + Years and Running Strong through the heart of NBPT

For more than 50 years, the Yankee Homecoming Road Race has been inviting runners and athletes of all ages to run through the heart of Newburyport. Imagine a beautiful summer evening in the beautiful town of Newburyport, MA. Each year, hundreds of runners in both the 10M and 5K enjoy a breathtaking course through the bucolic seaside town, running along the ocean for several miles before winding through a state park and charming New England neighborhoods. The Yankee Homecoming 10M and 5K are truly picture perfect.

Model Boat Building and Regatta

Kids can build a model boat and race it in a regatta on Redd's Pond in Marblehea

Kids are invited to come to Abbot Hall to build and paint their own model boat to be raced in a regatta in the afternoon!  Kits are provided to make the boat, and kids are encouraged to use their artistic abilities to customize their boat's appearance.  This event is part of The Marblehead Festival of Arts.
