Join the fun of the 3rd Annual Kayak and Paddle Board River Race. Participants will launch at Cashman Park boat ramp off Merrimac Street. The contestants will paddle up River at low tide/slack tide around Ram Island, Carr Island, Deer Island and back to Cashman Park with the out going tide, 4.6 miles.
Its the Beverly Yankee Homecoming 5K Road Race! You are almost guaranteed to see someone you know at or around the competition. The flat course meanders through ocean side neigborhoods of Bevelry with a fast, picturesque finish. Neighbors line the streets to cheer runners on. Proceeds from the race benefit North Shore YMCA programs, camps, and other great services offered by the Y! Fun run at 5:30pm. Post Race Awards, music, photos refreshments and more.
This race offers both a 5K and a 10K race. The 10K distance is part of the 2018 New England Running Company Trail Series. The race course winds through the beautiful wooded hills behind the Pingree School. Race will start and parking will be at the parking lot behind the Pingree School. Magnolia’s 42nd Annual Road Race is a 5k Race to be held rain or shine along a beautiful, scenic route in Magnolia. A 1k Walk/Fun Run will appeal to kids and those not capable of completing the 5k. All proceeds from the races go to the Magnolia Library.
Hop aboard one of three Essex-built schooners and take part in a fun evening of friendly competition that raises funds to benefit the care and stabilization of the Essex-built schooner Evelina M. Goulart. Join the crew of Schooner Thomas E. Lannon, Schooner Ardelle or and the museum's flagship Lewis H. Story. Activities include: sail raising exercises, sailing around a marked course, man overboard drills, salty songwriting (extra credit for instrumentation), knot tying, best photo competition, and whatever else the captains can dream up!
The 5th Annual Paddle for Plummer will be the best yet! Join us for a day full of energy, stoke, fun and fitness for a fantastic cause! There will be food, beverages, music, raffles, and more. All proceeds to the Plummer Home.
The Winner’s Circle Running Club’s 28th Annual Newburyport High Street Mile will start at Atkinson Common. This is a fast, flat USATF certified straight line course (USATF certification MA07009JK). Separate start times based on age division and sex. Proceeds will benefit the project to update and renew the Newburyport Track at Fuller Field and FONT (Friends of Newburyport Track).
The Newbuyrport Yankee Homecoming Bed Race is an annual event in Newburyport hosted by the Lions Club of Newburyport. The race is a ¼ mile team sprint down Federal Street to the finish line. Each team consists of 3 pushers, 2 pullers and a 'sleeper', and the goal is to get to the finish line with the bed and sleeper in the fastest time! This is a fun event for the communityr and always draws a big crowd. Come cheer on your favorite team, or just watch the fun! Funds raised will go to Lions Club charities.
Come to Maudslay State Park to start off Yankee Homecoming Super Saturday with good family fun! Many local businesses, organizations and non-profits take part in our Family Day fun offering free crafts, games, activities and handouts. Sit down for some lunch and listen to the band playing on the main stage or watch one of the performances taking part throughout the park.
