The Topsfield Fair is a perennial favorite for us. We're not the biggest fans of the midway, although it is always worth a walkthrough and a ride or two. We love fruits and vegetables, and are always on the lookout for the winning 'biggest pumpkin'. Another favorite is checking out the pigs and other farm animals, as well as the interesting variety of guinea pigs and rabbits.

The Essex Lion's Club hosts the annual turkey trot in beautiful Essex Massachusetts! This is a unique distance for a race clocking in at 8K — 4.97 miles. But, if the nearly 5-miler is too much for you pre-mashed potatoes and gravy, this race also has a 'fun walk'.
The 6th Annual Coast to the Cure Neurofibromatosis Bike Ride starts and finishes at Gloucester’s Stage Fort Park. All routes travel along Cape Ann’s shores and through Manchester-by-the-Sea, Beverly, Hamilton and Ipswich. The terrain includes rolling hills, long, sunny flats, and rural roads winding through the quaint towns of Boston’s North Shore. The 100 mile ride takes you further north through Georgetown, Amesbury and Newburyport.
Essex County Greenbelt Association will host the second annual road cycle event to raise funds for conservation efforts on the North Shore! Seasoned road cyclists, beginner bike enthusiasts, spectators, and volunteers are all invited to participate in the Tour de Greenbelt. Two routes, a half century (50 mile) and a shorter loop, show off some of Greenbelt’s finest conserved properties.
This race has been a part of Beverly’s Homecoming week for over 45 years, so you are almost guaranteed to see someone you know at or around the competition. The flat course meanders through ocean side neigborhoods of Bevelry with a fast, picturesque finish. Neighbors line the streets to cheer runners on. Proceeds from the race benefit North Shore YMCA programs, camps, and other great services offered by the Y!
The 1st LT Derek Hines Soldiers Assistance Fund is hosting the 5th Annual Flag Day 5K road race. The 5K walk, run, or jog will go through the beautiful town of Newburyport, Massachusetts. We will be going back to Cashman Park for our registration and post race reception that will include live music from Dalton and the Sherrif's, food and drinks for all! Funds raise will go to benefit Massachusetts soldiers (and their families) who have sustained serious career-ending or life-altering injuries while serving on active duty.
This race offers both a 5K and a 10K race. The 10K distance is part of the 2016 North Shore Trail Series and sponsored by the Essex County Greenbelt Association. The race course winds through the beautiful wooded hills behind the Pingree School. Register by June 17 to guarantee a t shirt. Race will start and parking will be at the parking lot behind the Pingree School.
