Symphony by the Sea presents A Winter Serenade.The string orchestra, with its incredible range and blended sonority, has always enticed composers to explore its exciting possibilities and to compose some of their best music. Mozart’s elegant nighttime serenade (Eine kliene Nachtmusik), Shostakovich’s anguished pleas against war, and Tchaikovsky’s energetic, dance-infused Serenade combine for a memorable afternoon of great music making. *A reception with complimentary refreshments follows this concert.

The Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras presents their Afternoon of Spring Concerts on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the Dolan Performing Arts Center, 130 High Street, in Ipswich, MA. There will be two performances; a concert at 2pm and a second concert at 4pm. The concerts are free to the general public; no tickets required.
Highlighting this selection of French symphonic miniatures is harpist Ina Zdorovetchi. She will be featured in Debussy's gorgeous Danse Sacrée e Profane and Ravel's sparkling Introduction and Allegro.

Rodrigo’s immediately recognizable and popular Concierto de Aranjuez put Rodrigo on the map as one of the world’s great 20th Century composers. It also helped make the classical guitar the respectable solo instrument it has become.
Koto’s Stormy and Calm Seas a new piece commissioned by the Cape Ann Symphony is a musical depiction of the ocean during a storm and the calm that comes afterwards.
A Cape Ann holiday tradition, the Cape Ann Symphony Pops is a celebration of with favorites by Anderson, Bach, Herbert, Tchaikovsky, Rutter, Handel and more. The orchestra will be joined by the Cape Ann Symphony Chorus directed by Wendy Betts. We will conclude with the ever popular audience sing-along.
Please join us for a Send-Off to Carnegie Hall benefit concert for Ipswich High School Honors Chamber Orchestra. The concert will feature The Orchestra on the Hill & Ipswich High School Honors Chamber Orchestra performing Mendelssohn, Wagner and Shostakovich.
