Rockport Music has a great lineup for music on New Year's Eve 2012!

Rock in the New Year with Rockport's annual New Year's Rockport Eve 2012! The Shalin Liu Performance Center comes alive with concerts from local favorites The Cape Ann Big Band, a cappella sensation Overboard, and Henri Smith New Orleans Friends & Flavours.

Peter Sheriden Family Concert

Peter’ Sheriden's name is synonymous with children’s music, and he's known for using a varied mixture of instruments, puppets, storytelling and books to maintain interaction with his very short audiences. Peter has written and performed original music for plays at The Firehouse in Newburyport, MA; including “James and the Giant Peach” by Roald Dahl and “The Phantom Tollbooth” by Norton Juster. and “The Witches” by Roald Dahl. He has produced two successful CDs of original children’s music.

Bah humbug boys and girls! Theater in the Open has put together a traditional holiday performance where their favorite holiday classic collides with the slap-stick pun-tastic world of Panto!  Now that Little Red and Will Scarlett have fixed up everything in Sure-Wouldn't Forest, they’re off on another adventure for the holidays, with figgy-pudding, smoking-bishop and ghosts that’ll scare the Dickens out of you (“They’re right behind you!”)!  When the Sheriff is confronted by three spirits in the night will he stop being such a Scrooge?

Annual Ipswich Music for the Holidays

The Orchestra on the Hill will perform at Ipswich's Music for the Holidays!

The Orchestra on the Hill will be performing at the annual Music for the Holiday in Ipswich, and Stephen Moore will direct the Festival Chorus.  The show will also feature Briana Paquin, Saprano as she sings seasonal favorites and invites the audience to join in on a Holiday sing-along!

Ring iun the Holidays at the Shalin Liu Center in Rockport Massachusetts!

You can literally ring in the holidays with Rockport Music at the Shalin Liu Performance Center!  The New England Ringers will perform holiday concert where the only instruments are bells. This fifteen-member highly energetic ensemble plays advanced hand bell works with a blend of musical moods and styles—from classical transcriptions, familiar favorites, and original compositions, all with a touch of entertaining humor.

Middle Street Walk 2012

The lighting of the Lobster Trap Tree is part of Middle Street Walk's finale.

The 17th annual Middle Street Walk is a great way to experience Gloucester's Historic District while having fun with the family. The Festivities begin at 9 am and go all the way though to the end of the Holiday Ball on Saturday evening! Pick up a Schedule of Events and get your walk on!  A whole day of FREE activities, shows and events await for all the members of the family.
