Wenham Museum: Family Festival and Craft Fair

Join the Wenham Museum for their Annaul craft fair and family day!

Over 60 vendors and artisans…lawn games and children’s activities…face painting….petting zoo …"The Music Man"… live music from "Time and Again" singing ‘decades of hits’… free tours of the historic Claflin-Gerrish-Richards House.. open houses at the Wenham Fire Department and Wenham Town Hall… and $5 public admission to the Wenham Museum!

CAM Pop-up Portrait Workshop

Cape Ann residents of all ages are invited to join Museum Educator Kendall Reynolds for a self portrait workshop. Sit down at a family style table in the Museum’s auditorium with members of the Cape Ann community to draw a portrait of yourself in oil pastel. This portrait workshop is part of a community-wide public art project to be unveiled at the June 2020 opening of the Museum’s expanded campus. Hope to see you there!

Girls Day at MIT Museum

Girls are encouraged to follow their interests in the sciences at MIT's Girls Day in Cambridge!

Girls Day, offered twice a year and sponsored by MIT Museum, celebrates women who are exploring, researching, and innovating in fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Meet amazing women in these fields while doing fun hands-on activities. This family-friendly event is recommended for girls 10 and up, but all are welcome. Our theme this time is “Express Yourself with Science” and will highlight women whose work combines science and the arts.

Captains Courageous at CAM

Come to CAM Green in Gloucester Massachusetts for a showing of the classic film 'Captains Courageous'

Join us at the Cape Ann Museum Green for a free screening of the classic Gloucester film, Captains Courageous on Saturday, August 28 in partnership with the Cape Ann Community Cinema. Captains Courageous is a legendary 1937 film about a Portuguese fisherman who rescues the son of a railway tycoon after the boy fell overboard from an ocean liner. Based on Rudyard Kipling’s 1897 novel, the movie was filmed primarily in Gloucester. Photographs from the Museum’s Library & Archives document the filming.
