Cap off the summer with some scurvy fun my mateys - AAAARGH! Search for treasure, cover yourselves in tattoos, battle with balloon swords and indulge in an outdoor water battle at the our 3rd annual Pirate Invasion. Pirate treats, silly games and treasures to take back to yer own ship!

Mo Willems Book Signing and Film Premiere at the Eric Carle Museum Summer 2012

Mo Willems is the go-to author for children and their parents and he's the most famous man in the literary world, if you are under three feet tall. He'll be at the The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art Saturday, July 21st for a book signing, movie premier screening of his new films and a Q&A.

Crustacean Vacation Book Launch!

Come to the book launch for Crustacean Vacation at the Children's Museum of NH!

Feeling a bit crabby? Then be a little shellfish and join author Brian Benoit and illustrator Marty Kelley to celebrate the release of their new picture book, Crustacean Vacation at the Children's Museum of New Hampshire! Special programs, at 2:00 and 2:45 will include a reading of Crustacean Vacation by the author, art activities led by the illustrator, a question and answer period, book signing, and more. There will even be a chance to take a photograph of yourself as an octopus lifeguard, one of the characters from the book.

Draw Me a Story: Children's Book Illustrators Reception

Children can come dressed as their favorite children's book characters, they'll create a block print with children's illustrator Leslie Evans, make collage art with museum educators and meet children's authors Giles LaRoche, Pat Lowery Collins and Leslie Evans at book signings. Enjoy special tours of the museum’s 17th-century house based on Giles Laroche’s book If You Lived Here: Houses of the World .

Meet the Illustrator: Faces of the Moon

Meet 'Faces of the Moon' illustrator Leslie Evans at the Wenham Museum

Children will discover the names and shapes of the lunar phases in Leslie Evan's book, Faces of the Moon as the illustrator shares an art project and signs copies of her book while children wait for a turn in the Mainley Stars Planetarium as part of Starry, Starry, Night: Planetarium and Telescopes.
