Kids can Trick Or Treat on Main Street in Gloucester! Put on a costume and come downtown on Halloween Night from 4-6 PM to get candy at participating stores! Look for the Jack-O-Lantern flyer in the store windows. BOO!!! See you Thursday!
Go in search of witches and other weird wonders in the spooky town of Salem. Kids and adults work together to solve tricky questions while learning the tales behind old buildings, statues, graveyards, and assorted places that are, according to legend, haunted.
Peek-a-Boo at the Stone Zoo will feature Halloween themed crafts and games, along with a haunted maze. Visitors to the Zoo will also have the chance to learn about enrichment as many of the animals receive pumpkins!
Children throughout New England are invited to trick-or-treat among the animals. Thrills, chills and animals lurk around every corner on the Trick-or-Treat Trail! Throughout the day, guests will learn about the importance of enrichment, as they watch as many of the animals receive pumpkins, generously donated by Whole Foods of Melrose, as enrichment items.
Newburyport's Great Pumpkin Lighting and Stroll is a new family, friendly event that will take place in Market Square. Families are encouraged to bring a carved pumpkin that will be lit and placed on the stairs of Market Square for all to enjoy! Each family will receive a votive candle that will be lit all at once at dusk - approximately 6:15 PM.
Join the artists on Artists’ Row for Salem Mayor's Night Out and a free fun activity: Tap into your creative spirit and decorate a Halloween mask or a wooden pumpkin round. All materials are provided but first come, first serve and one per child. Meet us at Cashman Park in Newburyport then we'll dash onto the Newburyport Rail Trail for a 1 mile FUN RUN! Costumes are encouraged and children of all ages are welcome! All proceeds from the run will benefit the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center. Registration begins at 10 AM and the run races off at 11AM.
Get into the Halloween spirit! Examine live creepy crawlies, enjoy (semi) spooky attractions, and take home creative crafts. For ages 7 and up, explore a “crime scene” and perform a series of forensic investigations (e.g., soil sample comparisons, water sampling, chromatography, pH tests, and track identification) to solve the mystery and pinpoint the culprit. For ages 2 to 6, there will be stories and songs, silly and festive crafts, and a kooky treasure hunt. Family presentations will be offered at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Fly in on your broom for an hour or stay all day for some fun pre-Halloween family time!

More than a nature walk: experience through literature the adventures that await just outside your front door! Explore the sights, sounds, smells of the forest. Your guide will be prepared with material to be read aloud from Tolkien's trilogy using the roads and unique settings in Ravenswood Park as background.
