Harvest Fest at Green Meadows Farm

Come celebrate the Harvest at Green Meadows Farm in Hamilton!

Green Meadows Farm is having their FREE annual Harvest Fest this year at the end of August. Lots of family activities are planned for full afternoon of fun.  Face-painting, an obstacle course, a farm-wide scavenger hunt and a water balloon are just some of the reasons to come celebrate the harvest. There will also be live music throughout the day by the Dixie Cookbooks!

The 16th year celebration of the is dedicated to the preservation, protection and sharing of the cultural heritages of the Southeast Asian Americans of Greater Lowell, Massachusetts area.

Every 3rd Saturday in August, more than 60,000 people from around the country and the world come to Lowell to celebrate water as it is celebrated in Southeast Asia. They come for the blessings, food, crafts, performances and (of course) the races.

In 1997, the first Lowell Southeast Asian Water Festival celebrated the culture of Lowell’s many Khmer citizens. In 2002, representatives of Lowell’s Khmer, Thai, Vietnamese and Laotian communities incorporated the Lowell Southeast Asian Water Festival, Inc as a 501c3 tax exempt non-profit corporation.

The sixth annual Salem Jazz & Soul Festival is a free event the whole family will enjoy. In addition to live sounds of national New Orleans jazz talent, national bands and local ensembles, the day features a Salem Five music education classes, arts & crafts, a kid's tent, and much more, all at the Salem Willows on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 18 & 19, from 11:15 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A collection of over 175 Juried Artists and Craftsmen from throughout the U.S. will display their unique creations, live music, plus delicious ethnic foods. A pancake breakfast and traditional New England Lobster Bake complement this picture perfect seaport event!

16th Annual Rockport Rotary Club Lobsterfest

Enjoy Lobster at the Beach in Rockportat the 16th annual lobsterfest!

What could be better than enjoying a lobster dinner at the beach with your family while helping a worthy cause? Rockport Rotary's Lobsterfest is a unique outdoor dining event held each summer at the American Legion Hall and bandstand in Rockport (on Beach Street, opposite Back Beach). Proceeds benefit local community service projects and the club's scholarship fund.

The Yankee Homecoming Parade is a traditional New England parade featuring bands

"Newburyport - A Hidden Jewel" is the theme for the 55th-annual Yankee Homecoming and the parade is certainly one of those jewels. This Traditional New England Parade is sure to please, and will host a variety of entertaining floats and marchers. Sunday, August 5th is the big day and this year's committee hopes to attract people from a variety of civic, youth, charitable and other specialty groups to participate in the parade, making it the best ever.

Kids ages 10 and up are invited to join the Summer Music Festival at NECC

Northern Essex Community College is offering a week-long Summer Music Festival at its Haverhill Campus for pianists, violinists, and cellists of all musical levels, August 6 through August 10.  Open to musicians 10 and older, the program will focus on solo and chamber repertoire, technique, and fundamental music theory, all in relation to their historical content.
