Holiday Fairs at Essex Churches - The warmth of an old country church fair enlivens the town on a cold, winter’s day when all three of Essex’s downtown churches hold their annual Holiday Fair. All three churches are within walking distance with free on street parking. Gift bargains are served up along with homemade food and hot beverages. A dollar goes a long way at this event.

The Gloucester Country Fest brings the fun of live country music to Gloucester Massachusetts in the beautiful setting of Stage Fort Park by the sea. Kristen Merlin, Timmy Brown & Black Diamond, Annie Brobst and Tim Charron perform at waterfront Stage Fort Park for an afternoon of live music and good times! Newburyport Parks is thrilled to present the third annual Americana Rhythm & Roots Festival on Newburyport’s beautiful central waterfront. This free concert features roots music stars NRBQ, Thornetta Davis and Po’ Ramblin’ Boys. Seventeen-year-old local guitar sensation Quentin Callewaert will open the festival. There will be fun for everyone with a beer garden featuring local microbrews, food trucks and fun activities for the kids.
The annual Ice Cream Scoop-Ahhh-bowl will present flavors from local ice cream parlors for sampling. A $5.00 ticket allows you to sample various flavors from all of our ice cream sponsors: Goodies, Cherry Farm Creamery, Captain Dusty’s Ice Cream, Putnam Pantry, Richardson’s Dairy, and Treadwells. There will be games, and other fun activities so come on down and enjoy.
Pack up the gang for a day of exciting attractions and competitive and silly sporting events for the entire family. Our 3rd Annual Field Day and Scoop-Ah-Bowl will bring back our Red Sox Mobile unit, High Flying Dogs Frisbee show, World Class magician, plenty of food trucks, fantastic music and many more surprises. The younger kids will love our obstacle course and all the classic summertime favorites like dizzy bat, three legged and other fun races, watermelon eating contests, face painting, a balloon artist extraordinaire, and a wiffleball tourney for all skill levels!
