Now in its 28th year, this local festival takes place in Memorial Park in downtown Essex boasts 40 to 50 food, craft, and local product vendors. The event includes the Clam Chowder Tasting, a competition that gives area restaurants the chance to vie for the title of serving the best chowder on Cape Ann.
On Saturday, September 25 the Marblehead Chamber will host an Artisan Fair in conjunction with the 6th annual town-wide Fall Festival. This event will be held on the grounds of Historic Abbot Hall, home of the original painting of the “Spirit of 76”! The Craft Fair will compliment other family activities including street entertainment, pumpkin decorating, and many other activities on Washington Street and Atlantic Avenue. Festivities continue into Sunday with pumpkin decorating and hayrides.
