Community Giving Tree is Coming to Newburyport for Donations

Community Giving Tree's mission is to help low-income families in northeastern M

Time to clean out and drop off your gently-used donations to Essex County children in need. On Saturday, June 15th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Community Giving Tree van is accepting donations at the Cushing Park and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Community Giving Tree center in Boxford - just down the street from Benson Ice Cream.

Community Giving Tree, a non-profit organization serving all of Essex County, collects gently used baby equipment such as car seats, strollers, high chairs and more and gives them to local children in need. Every baby needs a safe crib.

Community Giving Tree's mission is to help low-income families in northeastern Massachusetts raise healthy children by providing recycled clothing, baby equipment and other basic necessities.

PMC Marblehead Kids Ride

Kids are encouraged to ride their bikes to raise money for the Pan Mass Challeng

The Pan-Mass Challenge Marblehead Kids Ride will be one of 35 PMC Kids Rides held in neighborhoods throughout New England and beyond. Through the PMC Kids Rides program, nearly 6,000 cyclists between the ages of two and 15 will ride between one and 26 miles in mini-bike-a-thons to raise money for cancer research.

Newburyport Boston Strong 2.62 mile fun run invites kids to race!

A group of local moms, in partnership with the Winner’s Circle Running Club, have organized this running/walking event to support the One Fund and the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. Everything is in place (in an amazingly short time thanks to the dedication of the event committee) for a great day supporting a cause which touches the entire running community. Wenham Museum is proud to host “Pajamas of My Dreams” an evening of fun with Pajama Storytime & Pajama Drive to benefit Cradles to Crayons.

"Pajamas of My Dreams” is a beautifully illustrated book that combines the hopefulness and high aspirations of children with a mission of providing warm pajamas for all.

After a reading by the author, Laurie Collins, children will enjoy a color and collage Dream activity with the book’s author and illustrator, Margie Florini.

Guests are invited to bring a new pair of pajamas to donate to Cradles to Crayons; an organization that distributes clothing and school supplies to local children.

All ages welcome.
