Celebration

On Saturday, May 4, Wenham Museum and honorary chairman Rita Cary, morning host of 92.5 The River, invite friends of the museum and members of the community to a seaside, Birthday Gala to celebrate 90 years of sustained support of the museum.

Come celebrate Spring at the Newburyport YWCA Kids Day where kids can take part in Spring planting activities, have a Big Truck Exploration, get their face painted, take part in arts and crafts, meet the State Police K-9 unit in person, join a raffle and much more! The event is free to the public. Come help us celebrate the arrival of Spring!

Note: Due to the weather, the festival of light location has been changed to take place at the Library! The Newbury Town Library invites you to come celebrate music and light on the Upper Green! Karen K & The Jiiterbugs and the Plum Island Pans will play, and we'll end the evening with a lantern parade around the green. Pack a picnic, and grab some friends and family. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to The Newbury Town Library. Lantern making workshops will be held prior to the event. Please contact the library for more information!

Come to  Spencer Peirce Little Farm for a mid-winter open house to celebrate the official purchase of the town of Newbury on January 13, 1701. As part of this community-wide event, tour the Spencer-Pierce-Little House, enjoy hot cider and donuts for sale in the visitor center, and then walk to the nearby town-sponsored bonfire in the growing fields of Tendercrop Farm!

Come to Marini Farm for the Tree Jubilee fundraiser to benefit The Ipswich Humane Group.  Over 30 of Ipswich's community members and businesses have come together and have each designed and decorated a tree or a wreath that will be displayed at the farm's green house.  It is up to the imagination of the designer to come up with a theme for their design. Submitted trees and wreaths will be awarded as prizes in a raffle at the end of the jubilee.

You're invited to celebrate the magic of the holidays as the Great House on Castle Hill is festively decorated by area florists and designers for the 'Greening of the Great House'. The Greening of the Great House is a weekend-long event where families will enjoy live music, a dance performance, a children's Eye Spy, refreshments, and more throughout the weekend.
