From 1884 – 1917, Mason A. Walton lived a hermit's life in Ravenswood Park. As we walk in his footsteps to the site of his cabin, we'll track signs of wildlife just as Walton did, using these clues to determine the animal's behavior. Straight from the pages of the beloved children’s book, costumed character Corduroy will be visiting the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire as part of the Books Alive program, ready to greet young fans and help promote the love of reading.

Don't miss a Reading and Dance Performance of Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig with author David Ira Rottenberg and ballerinas from Nadine's Dance Center of Gloucester. Following the performance, dancers will lead children in a mini-movement lesson. Bring their dancing shoes, and don't forget the camera!

Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary celebrates this ritual with a fun afternoon of activities for kids and families!

Meet children's author April Jones Prince as she reads from her book, What Do Wheels Do All Day? [Illustrated by Giles LaRoche]. Free and open to the public, this program is designed for toddlers through age six and their caregivers. Internationally renowned Whale Specialist and Educator, Cynde McInnis, introduces us to her 43 foot inflatable Humpback Whale Nile, and teaches us all about the beloved marine mammal. The super talented and uber funny E.S. Redmond will be visiting The Newbury Town Library to read from her newest book, "The Unruly Queen."
