Clifford Visits Children's Museum of NH

Come meet Clifford at the Children's Museum of NH!

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire is welcoming colossal canine Clifford The Big Red Dog  As part of the Books Alive program sponsored by Irving Oil. The museum will be celebrating Clifford with story readings, creative activities, literacy games and the chance for kids to give costumed character Clifford a hug or a high-five. All the fun is included in the museum's regular admission price of $9 for adults and children, and $8 for seniors. This event is free for museum members and children under a year old.

Holiday Sing Along

Come with friends and neighbors to sing holiday songs to start your holiday seas

Gather your family and friends and come over to the Firehouse for a little old-fashioned Holiday Sing-Along to kick off your Holidays with music!  The Youth Choir from the Immaculate Conception Church (Newburyport), directed by Donna Postle, will be there to lead everyone in singing some well-loved carols, with music provided by John Metrano on piano.  Our favorite elf, Terry Blanchard, will once again read “ ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” while wearing his famous stocking cap knit exclusively for this annual presentation by the North Pole’s very talented Mrs. Elf.

Explore life along with Cooper, a fun-loving black Labrador Retriever, whose entertaining adventures help kids navigate the emotions and challenges of everyday living. Created by mother-daughter team Monique and Alexa Peters and inspired by their real life family dog, 'Cooper and Me' provides adults and children with opportunities for meaningful conversation and tools for constructive problem solving. Kids will laugh at Cooper’s antics and adults will appreciate the resilience nurtured in their children.

The Story of 'Inland' - Meet the Author

Sawyer Free Library invites you to a reading from Inland: The True Story of a North Atlantic Humpback Whale by the author Lisa Capone. Dale Brown of the Whale Center of New England will be there as part of the presentation. Discuss this true story of a North Atlantic Humpback whale's autumn spent close to shore in Salem Sound, the people that interacted with her and her journey south that ended in her death off of the Virginia coast.  Inland's skeleton is now on display at the Whale Center of New England, and has been used as a teaching aid in whale anatomy for thousands of visitors!

Children's Author Lauren Barnholdt at the Book Rack in Newburyport for families

A meet the author event is being held on Saturday at The Book Rack Bookstore. The authour event will feature a reading from Ms. Barnholdt’s newest book, a short play with audience volunteers, and Ms. Barnholdt signing her titles.

Hailey Twitch is back for the third installment in the series. This is a fun series featuring a seven year old mastermind who tries really hard not to blame her invisible friend Maybelle for getting her into heaps of delicious trouble.
