Kestrel Educational Adventures (KEA) was founded in 2002, working with two schools in Gloucester. Kestrel now serves over 1,500 North Shore students each year! Kestrel partners directly with our partner schools to customize our science programs to each individual class. Kestrel staff spends extensive time meeting with school administrators and classroom teachers to develop custom plans that fit the culture and academics of the schools, as well as local land reservations. Even once a tailored lesson plan is developed for a class or group, it serves only as a guide for instructors, with the assumption that it will evolve as students’ own personal and academic interests emerge.
