Beginning, experienced, reluctant, enthusiastic knitters, please join Barbara Pries at the Manchester Public Library for a knitting circle in January. We´ll meet on Tuesdays, 3:30 PM on January 8, 15, 22 and 29, 2013. Stop by and get started on a lifetime of knitting fun or join in to continue your own knitting project. This week's program will be about the ocean's twilight zone! Known as the mesopelagic layer in the ocean, the twilight zone starts around 660 feet, where sunlight is very faint and continues to get progressively darker and colder to a depth of 3300 feet. There are many creatures that use this zone as their habitat, many that are bio luminescen, have large eyes for seeing weel in darkness or have form factors that seem outright alien! Come learn about this strange part of the sea and the creatures that live there.

Gabe’s Run 2012: The Fifth Annual Reunion Run to benefit the Gabriel Pacione Memorial Scholarships.

Events feature competitive 5K Cross-Country Trail Races, a 1 Mile Fun Run as well as the Team XC Challenge and the Community Cup, a friendly competition among runners from all communities represented. The race is the day after Thanksgiving, Friday November 23, 2012
