Theater in the Open hosts their Summer Arts Workshop is a fun-filled, out-door, adventurous way to learn and grow at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport. It is a place where young people have the opportunity to be creative and build lasting relationships with their peers in a safe, non-competitive environment designed for personal and artistic growth. Our professional staff of artists and educators is dedicated to providing our students with a positive, creative, artistic experience.

Say goodbye to the cold and celebrate the arrival of warmer weather at Appleton Farms! While we often associate eggs with the Easter Bunny, in many cultures eggs symbolize new life and are tied with the coming of spring. At this event, we celebrate spring, new life on the farm, and the bounty of fresh eggs produced by our hens. Go on the Egg-cellent Quest around the farm and learn about the journey from egg to chicken, collecting Easter eggs at each station to complete the Quest! Enjoy homemade refreshments in our Carriage Barn, visit with our, bunnies, sheep, chickens and goats and play games in the stone paddock!

Register today for this special parent & child art class series on Wednesday mornings at the Sparhawk School with Catherine Kulik, the Sparhawk Elementary & Middle School art teacher. Your child will explore diverse ways of creating art and experiment with new, engaging materials while learning about line, color, texture and notable works of art.
