Marblehead Children's Center is a preschool that serves children ages 9 months to school age. MCC offers flexible scheduling and a teacher qualified and professional staff. MCC is open all school vacation weeks and offers fun-filled summer programs.

Anna Jaques Hospital and Women’s Health Care is having a baby photo contest to give local parents the chance to have their baby featured in an upcoming Women’s Health Care advertisement and win a $150 Visa gift card. To enter, a parent can submit a photo of their child (or twins/triplets) through the Anna Jaques Hospital Facebook page. All photos submitted will be displayed in an online Baby Photo Gallery on the hospital’s Facebook page.

Join geologist James Matz and farm manager Gretta Anderson for a tour of Moraine Farm in Beverly. A geologist and member of Beverly's Planning Board, James Matz will present information about the geology and soils of the farm. Farm Manager Gretta Anderson will introduce participants to the 23-acre organically-managed community vegetable farm which is owned by The Trustees of Reservations.

Join Mary Mansur, Cape Ann Waldorf School Kindergarten teacher and beekeeper at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary for a hands-on workshop to harvest honey and beeswax as we learn about the honeybee, and how humans and honeybees can support one another. Learn how the products of the beehive are utilized at Cape Ann Waldorf School  and how the hive and the honeybee can teach people of every age. Participants will bring home a little bear filled with honey.

The 19th Annual - Topsfield Six-Hour Run/Walk Against Breast Cancer, hosted by the G.A.C. Running Club at Bradley Palmer State Park is a benefit event where proceeds will be donated to support educational programming and materials for patients of the Breast Health Center, node:4123] at Danvers.  It's a wonderful way to spend time with the family and help a good cause on Mother's Day!

Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras (NMYO) will be presenting their Spring Afternoon of Concerts on Sunday, May 5th at Gordon College Chapel in Wenham, MA. The afternoon will be split into two events – a concert at 2:30pm featuring Prelude and Overture String Ensemble, Intermezzo Orchestra, Junior Flute Choir, and Flute Choir; and a concert at 5:00pm featuring the Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Select Flute Choir.

What would happen if you built a house for fairies? Chances are high that you would see nature's visitors first. After reading Fairy Houses (The Fairy Houses Series) by Tracy Kane, participants will venture out on the sanctuary to create our own homes using natural nonliving materials.

Sawyer Free Library has a fun filled morning of Screen-Free activities planned! Come to the library, unplug and play, read and create with friends! The Spring Craft Activities encourages interaction and coneecting with others without the use of technology!

The Fast Chicks 5k is a community fundraiser race that celebrates active women and raises funds for a selected charity each year.  There's also a FREE kids race - a 100 yard dash! Now in it's second year, the race begins and ends at Patton park and funds raise this year will go to the Community Giving Tree, a North Shore organization based in Boxford that provides gently used children’s clothes, equipment, and basic necessities for families in need.

The Long Hill Flower Fields need volunteers to help with the PYO flower programs and to staff their booth at the Beverly Farmers' Market. Enjoy a guided tour of Halibut Point State Park around the Babson Farm Quarry, unearthing the granite industry era followed by a traditional hand-tool stone splitting demonstration. Halibut Point itself is made of sheets of 440 million year-old granite that now cascade from rocky headlands to the abundant tidal pools below. The panorama encompasses views from Crane Beach in Ipswich to Mount Agamenticus in Maine and the Isles of Shoals off the coast of New Hampshire. This glorious natural landscape is breathtaking and inspiring.
