Join the The Trustees of Reservations at the Stevens-Coolidge Estate, cut your own flowers at our Flower Fields Cutting Garden and then use them to create a beautiful flower crown. We will have all the supplies and instructions you need to learn how to make a beautiful floral crown of your own design. Participants of all ages and genders encouraged to attend! Leave feeling fabulous and with the skills to craft future headpieces from your own garden blooms.

Free Ranger guided tours at Saugus Iron Works!
U. S. National Park Rangers host free tours at the Saugus Iron Works. Learn about the production of iron on this site in the mid-1600s, an endeavor that was integral to the growth of the early colony. Hear about the archeological dig and reconstruction of the site in the 1940s to 1950s. Upon availability, this tour may include the operation of waterwheels, the 500-pound hammer, the rolling mill, and blacksmithing demonstrations. Tour lasts about one hour and is outdoors.

Participants can hike, bike, paddle, stroll or sail through the region and Essex National Heritage Area will provide a passport to fun and adventure. It’s all FREE and it’s all located within the 34 cities and towns of Essex County.

Join The Trustees of Reservations to celebrate September's Full Moon. Like most full moons, it goes by many names. Often called the Full Corn Moon, it traditionally corresponds with the time for harvesting corn. Similarly, it is also called the Barley Moon because this is the time when ripened barley is harvested and threshed.

The Swampscott Farmers Market happens every Sunday through October.
Rain or shine, the Swampscott Farmers’ Market features a wide variety of produce, meats, fish, breads, flowers and crafts from farmers, food producers, and artisans from around Massachusetts and nearby New England states. Anchoring the market, Swampscott will have Clark Farm providing a large variety of produce, as well as John Crow Farms bringing produce, meats and poultry. Other vendors include Maitland Mountain Farms (known for their pickles and flowers), Fille de Ferme (producer of homemade jams and jellies), Cherry Street Fish Market, Big Sky Breads, and more.

Tour the Newbuyrport Powder House for Sails and Trails 2018
As part of Trails & Sails 2018, tour the Newburyport Powder House, built in 1822 at Godfrey's Hill on Low Street, with a restored exterior and interior. The original cobblestone wagon path is now open as an historic park and learning center. The open house will feature a master cooper demonstration and guided tours of this unique historic landmark critical to our defense. For Newburyport men who served in the Massachusetts Militia this was an important and vital building.
