Come enjoy live music and fireworks in Peabody MA!
Come on down to Coley Lee Field at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School on Sunday, August 6th for a night of “pops” and big band music from Hillyer Festival Orchestra. And once the sun goes down….the fireworks go up. After much success with last summer’s centennial fireworks show, Peabody has decided to return with another Fireworks Spectacular! Mayor Bettencourt’s Annual Summer Concert and Fireworks Spectacular will begin at 7:00 p.m. Feel free to bring your blankets and lawn chairs.

Olde Ipswich Days brings art, crafts, food and music to the S. Village Green in Ipswich Massachusetts!
On the last weekend of July, artisans and fine craftsfolk from all over New England will show and sell their work on the South Village Green in Ipswich, MA. Olde Ipswich Days is a favorite for all to meet and greet old friends and new, browse the booths and do some early holiday shopping, or make some timely indulgences. The fair features the works of more than 60 artists and crafters. Look for sterling, gold, or beaded jewelry, unusual photography, woodwork, knitted textiles, dried flowers and grapevines, cut or stained glass, tapestry, a variety of pottery, and paintings in all mediums, toys, and handmade soaps, and hot dogs and refreshments.

Youth and Family Rowing Program
In rowing, like most sports, equipment size really matters.  For a long time, this limited rowing to high schoolers and adults.  With the creation of the Little Sculling Boat, the world of sliding seat rowing is now open to the youngest of athletes. Kindersculls is a traveling, half-day summer camp for 4-9 year olds with two specially trained coaches, a trailer full of little shells, and boatloads of fun.

Jim Napolitano's presentation of "Shadows Around the World" will follow his puppet making workshop teaching the art of puppetry construction and manipulation. Families of all ages are welcome at the 6:30 performance. Registration of children ages 5 and up is required for the workshop at 5:00.

This workshop is an introduction to the world of three-dimensional design using a free program called Tinkercad. Learn how to use Tinkercad and build your first 3-D object. Participants must set up their free Tinkercad account at tinkercad.com and bring their own laptop for this workshop. For ages 11 to 16. Put your egg in a basket workshop: design and build a contraption with materials provided, insert raw egg, drop it from our 2nd story window. The Andover Farmers' Market, now in its eleventh year, offers educational programming and promotes healthy eating, local economies, sustainability, and community spirit by providing fresh, local produce, baked and prepared foods, as well as hand-crafted goods.

Melrose Farmers Market
Sally Frank’s Farmers’Market is entering its 23-year, connecting farmers, handmade food producers, artisans, non­profits and local businesses, entertainers, and educational groups to the Melrose community. The market runs every Thursday from June 8-October 26, 2-7pm. This year market goers will find more fresh from two new farms in addition to Dick’s Market Garden, Moonlight Farm and Kelly’s Family Farm. Other returning farms include, Shady Pine Farm bringing hormone free meat, Ackermann Maple Farm, Shagbark farm, Laszlo Family Farm; also Robert’s Seafood, Bagel Land of Winchester, Deano’s Pasta, Habibi, the Popover Lady, and Jennifer Lee’s Bakery bringing gluten-free and allergen free baked goods. New, delicious vendors include the Bread Shop from Wakefield, Ava’s from Arlington, Mr. Tamole from Dorchester, and Pure Pastry from Beverly.

As part of the Lowell Summer Music Series, a special series of kids performances takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Activities include make-and-take art at 10 a.m., a performance at 11 a.m., and National Trolley Park rides at noon.
