Salem Heritage Days offer a wonderful way for Salem residents and visitors to connect with Salem’s history, art, and cultural scene. House of Seven Gables invites families to learn about sailing the high seas with a variety of family-friendly and hands-on activities. The Family Navigation Game is offered daily from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The Living History Labs hands-on history experience will take place daily from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Celebrate 400 Years of Maritime History at Derby Wharf in Salem Massachusetts! V
Presented by the Salem Maritime National Historic Site, the annual Salem Maritime Festival in August hosts an exciting array of free family fun festivities, including live music, traditional craft demonstrations and seaport trade exhibits, story-telling, and family fun! Each year, music, demonstrations, exhibits, and children's activities are available throughout the park and on Derby Wharf. The Salem Maritime Festival is hosted by Salem Maritime, your national park in Salem in cooperation with Essex Heritage. From live music, historical re-enactors, and tall ships, to interactive programs and crafts for families, all events and activities are free and open to the public. Stay tuned to learn more about what's in store for you at the 2016 Festival!  There's also fun activities planned just for kids!

The Yankee Homecoming Parade is a traditional New England parade featuring bands
The Annual Yankee Homecoming parade is a Traditional New England Parade that is sure to please! There will be a variety of entertaining floats and marchers.  Yankee Homecoming and the people of Newburyport all come together to watch a parade on the first Sunday in August. The streets lined with families, friends, and visitors have made this parade a long time favorite summer tradition.

An annual event hosted by the Manchester Division of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, this all-day extravaganza taps into the long-line of local talent with musical and artistic performers alike. Visitors can take in the sights of Masconomo Park while surveying the art and handcrafted items from some of the finest talent assembled. Celebrating locally grown art, music and food in downtown Manchester-by-the-Sea, this all day event will highlight not only the idyllic beauty of Cape Ann but also the incredible talent for which the area has become synonymous.

Tour the murals of Salem Massachusetts with the Salem YMCA!
Come join the Salem YMCA for a fun run around Salem. This running tour will stop at each mural in the great City of Salem. At each stop we'll learn a little about the mural and the  North Shore CDC & Punto Urban Art Museum project. The North Shore CDC invests in neighborhoods to create thriving communities. They "envision a North Shore where every neighborhood is one of choice and opportunity."

Yankee Homecoming will once again hold its traditional grand finale fireworks.
