Folks on the North Shore and beyond will flock to Ipswich for its famous fried clams, seafood and of course delectable clam chowder. What better way to round out the season than with an opportunity to, not only samples some of the best chowder around, but also become judge for a day?

Come to Rough Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary in Rowley Massachusetts with the Mass Audubon under the full moon.
Join naturalists from Joppa Flats Education Center on the deck in the salt marsh at Rowley's Rough Meadows for a sing-a-long of sea shanties and maritime poetry, and learn how music was used to entertain, focus on work, and tell stories of nautical life. Bring your blanket and dinner and plan to stay for a picnic under the rising full moon. Instruments and shanty singers are welcome.

Annual Good Harbor Beach Fall cleanup
Join the Cape Ann Maritime Partnership for a fall clean up of Good Harbor Beach from 9-11am on Saturday, October 14th! Bags will be provided, please bring work gloves. Afterwards, swing by Pier 23 Kitchen for generous lunch deals for all volunteers.

Learn to Skate with the Peabody Skating Club at Peabody Skating Rink
The McVann-O'Keefe Skating Rink in Peabody is open for Public Skating weekdays from 10-11:45 am, Saturday's at 2 pm, and Sundays at 2:10 pm. Call today to ask about the Learn to Skate program at with the Peabody Skating Club. The ice is perfect. The Halloween and Christmas parties are a blast, and we always have a ton of fun at public skate and teen night. The rink is superbly maintained; it's very clean, and the staff are super friendly and helpful.

Join the Essex Base Ball Organization on October 14th, 2017, as members of the vintage base ball community will be participating in the 5th annual Jan’s Pitch for Breast Cancer and the Arts, to raise money for cancer research and to fund art education in inner city schools in Lawrence, MA. Three games will take place at the beautiful Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm, featuring teams from all over New England and beyond.
