Celebrate community and the beginning of Summer at Essex River Day in Essex MA
Essex River Day is an idea that has been evolving for many years. Often when boaters are out on the River you hear the same question over and over again, "Wouldn't it be great if everyone in Essex could experience the beauty of the River?" The concept for the event is simple. Those who have a boat offer a neighborly boat ride to those in town who may not have a boat and don't have ready access to appreciating the wonders of the Essex River. This simple thought has grown into a full day of events culminating that evening with a softball game, a cook out, music and a bonfire at Memorial Park.

Seaside Sustainability programs are built on a foundation that emphasizes the importance of sustainability in harboring an earth in which future generations will be able to thrive.
Seaside Sustainability programs are built on a foundation that emphasizes the importance of sustainability in harboring an earth in which future generations will be able to thrive.  Seaside Education Adventure (SEA) was the first program to grow out of this idea, and pairs marine ecology ideas with hands-on nature learning. This combination introduces local youth to the short and long term effects of a variety of ocean threats.  These boat-based trips take students out onto the water to learn about oceanography, water sustainability, and ecosystem balance. Children should be outside during the summer. At North Shore Nature Programs' "Wild About Nature" they will.
Children should be outside during the summer. The long, warm days are perfect for outdoor exploration along with fun and games with friends. Wild About Nature provides a safe, nurturing environment for your child to explore, grow, and make the most out of their summer break. Our groups are kept small so that children have meaningful interactions with fellow campers and counselors. All of our staff go through a rigorous week of training and have prior experience working with children.
