Marblehead teens are encourage to join the Rotary's Marblehead's Got Talent Contest where they could win generous scholarships!
The Marblehead Rotary is offering local high school students an opportunity to show off their talents and a chance to win some great scholarship money! Open auditions will happen weekly at Marblehead High School Auditorium on April 4th and 11th, 2017, with with the competition held on Friday, May 12 at the Boston Yacht Club.

Don't hide in a shell all Summer! Join the intern  team at Maritime Gloucester!
Maritime Gloucester offers unpaid summer internships for high school students who have completed their freshman year. Interns work as interpreters in the Sea Pocket Lab Aquarium, assist in animal husbandry duties, and participate in the development and care of aquarium exhibits. Interns are also encouraged to attend weekly educational enrichment programs, field studies and career explorations.

Summer classes at the Maritime Gloucester Boat Shop are a perfect way to learn basic woodworking and boatbuilding skills. Students will learn fundamental woodshop safety, use of hand tools, and basic woodworking skills in a supportive group atmosphere. Under the supervision of an expert boat builder, students will build a small wooden skiff. In addition to the time in the Boat Shop, students should have time to explore Gloucester Harbor in dories, gig boats and a pinky schooner sailboat.  Register early as registration is limited to six students.

For kids who enjoyed our school year “Ocean Explorers” program, this program is for you. Come and have fun on the Maritime Gloucester working waterfront. Program includes: aquarium activities, scavenger hunts, hauling lobster traps, conducting research, building stuff, waterfront visits, and getting on the water, piers and floats at Maritime Gloucester.  Available only to Gloucester students in grades 3rd through 5th.

Join this two-day Wilderness Medical Associates (https://www.wildmed.com/) course, April 22 -23, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm each day. This certification is ideal for seasonal outdoor staff and those involved in recreational wilderness trips. Learn about general medical concepts and life support skills when definitive care is over 2 hours away.

Haul the sails and head out on an adventure of a life time!  Maritime Gloucester and the Schooner Ardelle join forces to offer theCoastal Explorers summer program! During this week-long program ages 8-11 climb aboard Schooner Ardelle and set a course for fun and exploration! Throughout the week students learn to sail a traditional Gloucester fishing schooner while participating in exciting hands-on marine science and maritime heritage explorations along the North Shore.
